An adventurous cool red
Lake Red is from our new Colour by Nature palette, created in collaboration with the Natural History Museum to bring the true colours of nature into your home.
This adventurous colour appears red to some and pink to others, but always feels happy and vital. Fantastic in small spaces, Lake Red feels dynamic and energising used across walls, woodwork and ceilings, and works wonderfully inside cupboards.

Lake Red Diningroom
I am very happy with the colour. It is a lovely shade of red and warms up my north facing diningroom. I had painted the diningroom red before and loved it. The only reason I was painting the room was to freshen it up and I had tried lots of testers to no avail until I found Lake Red. I actually like it even more than the last red paint I had used. It changes colour slightly throughout the day and depending on the light. I read the reviews describing it as barbie pink but although it has a pinker hue in some lights it is still lovely and not what I would describe as barbie pink which is cheap. This is a more muted shade and even my husband likes it. He is definitely not a pink fan! I had to paint the room white before applying two coats of paint to get good coverage.

Fab quality paint & perfect colour
All deliveries were unexpectedly fast. We tried 17 (!) samples for our north-facing rather dark living room. We really wanted a red tone on the walls and ended up choosing Lake Red. In a brightly lit room this colour would have a hint of pink but in our situation the colour is an absolutely fabulous stone red without it turning out too dark. The quality of the paint is outstanding, it covered really nicely. We used 3 coats without a primer on a light coloured wall but could have just about gotten away with just 2 coats. Will definitely purchase F&B paints for future projects.
