A smart deep green
Duck Green is from our new Colour by Nature palette, created in collaboration with the Natural History Museum to bring the true colours of nature into your home.
Named after the deep green plumage of a mallard, Duck Green is a wonderful reminder of the exquisite colours of nature. Strong but subdued, it offers a contemporary alternative to charcoal shades for modern homes, and makes a warm and welcoming pair with Deep Reddish Brown on woodwork.

Green with Envy
I just love the Farrow and Ball range in general, but really wanted a change from the soft neutrals I have used and decided after testing 4 samples to go for the darkest..Duck Green. I wanted to update an old 2nd hand cupboard I had bought 20 years ago. It was in the original repainted white and did have a look of shabby chic that some would perhaps preferred. However, time for a change. I love the finish of the Estate Eggshell (recommended for indoor wood.) I wanted the colour to stand out from the background which are F&B (above dado rail) Estate Emulsion Off White and Old White on the lincrusta. I delighted with my new posh shoe cupboard!

Superb Colour
I bought this to make a feature wall in the lounge. I paired it with cromarty. The colour is a really rich deep dark green. It has slightly more yellow pigment in the colour to give it a depth of colour. It's lighter than studio green. It has an almost shiny surface when first put on but this changes as the paint dries. As we could only buy 2.5 litre tins we kept the rest to use in a bedroom. On taking off the lid the paint smells almost mouldy. I am not sure it that's how we stored the paint or not. However, upon stirring the paint seemed fine and the smell disipated when it was on the wall. For anyone looking for a wow, this is a great option.
