Duck Green

Duck Green is from our new Colour by Nature palette, created in collaboration with the Natural History Museum to bring the true colours of nature into your home.

A smart deep green

Named after the deep green plumage of a mallard, Duck Green is a wonderful reminder of the exquisite colours of nature. Strong but subdued, it offers a contemporary alternative to charcoal shades for modern homes, and makes a warm and welcoming pair with Deep Reddish Brown on woodwork.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Dark Tones

Complementary white: Ash Grey

Duck Green is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 171.

Back in 2010, we moved to an entirely water based range of finishes, becoming the first in the industry to do so. These low-odor, low-VOC finishes are easy to clean without harmful solvents. They also meet child- and baby-safe requirements in accordance with The Canada Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations, Canada Toy Regulations (SOR/2011-17) – Section 23 and ASTM F963 – 17 - Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety.

Our paint colours are available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from From Pigeon to Duck Green! We were ready for a change and we certainly got it with Duck Green! We have lots of white, windows and reflective furniture so the strong contrasts of Duck Green made the rooms lively and inviting. We used Modern Emulsion on the walls and Estate Emulsion to paint the lampshades. The same color but different sheen worked very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Duck Green is Stunning Used Duck Green for a repaired old oak back door, (North West Facing). It has come out bright and rich, and has a lovely depth of colour. It was quite streaky to paint with, so although we only used 2 coats, it could really do with a third coat. We used Skimmed milk white, also from Nature palette range for the frame and it compliments duck green very well. Overall, very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from F & B devotee! Once again this paint is in a class of it's own for quality and colour. Used Duck Green Exterior Eggshell for my entrance door. I now have the best door on the close!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Statement colour After deciding on a shade of green for my bathroom, I tried a few different sample pots from Farrow and Ball. As soon as I removed the lid from Duck Green, I knew it was the statement colour I'd been looking for. I've paired it with Wimborne White on the wood around the bottom half of the walls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this colour Was my very first dark colour but decided as my hallway is fairly dark anyway, I would go for it! I think it looks lovely with all the wood I have anyway and makes it look warm. Used the suggested complimentary colour Snow drop for the ceiling and Ash grey for the cupboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sophisticated green This is a subtle but distinct green. We wanted a green to use with grey in our kitchen and this Duck Green was exactly what we were searching for. It’s a green that has more blue than yellow and sits happily and quietly alongside grey (as in tiles and cupboards) and browns of wood.
