Vardo

No.288

A rich teal

This rich teal takes its name from highly decorated traditional horse drawn Romany wagons. Often used in the intricate patterning of these beautifully painted homes, Vardo is so full of life and joy it seemed natural to name it after something renowned for its flamboyant colour. This bright colour works particularly well with reds or dark greys.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Dark Tones

Complementary white: Shaded White

Vardo is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 140.

ECO-FRIENDLY AND CHILD-SAFE

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

QUALITY FINISHES

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My happy colour I was so nervous about using this colour - it’s bright, and I was advised it might be better in “small accents”. Luckily I ignored the advice because just looking at the colour made me happy - I painted all the walls in my bedroom and study. It’s the most exquisite colour - deep turquoise, warm, cosy, changes in the light. I’m so in love with it. It’s making me be braver in other parts of my house now too - love how it makes me feel! The quality of FB is, as always, perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great colour but not available in 1 litre quantity Having been really pleased with the colour and finish of paint, then realised unfortunately that small quantity tins were not available, and this was to do a very small toilet room, so would have been a waste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vardo - A Lovely Vibrant colour! I was undecided between Vardo and Inchyra Blue but as soon as Vardo went on my feature wall I knew it was right! A beautiful rich & vibrant Teal. I also painted a wooden sideboard in Vardo eggshell which does look a darker shade than the wall but as the advert says the colour changes with the light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color & Quality We purchased this paint for our lower level tv den. It covers great - we have the windows open during the day and it is a bright, rich teal. At night, in dimmer light it appears a bit moodier, which we also love. The quality was much better than standard hardware store paint. It is much thicker, and applies very smooth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning colour so happy! I bought this colour for our front door as I couldn't decide on a blue as there were just too many shades to choose from. This colour is absolutely gorgeous, it's a rich tealy turquoise and so pigmented and looks great with the red brick and cream windows. I'd never used Farrow and Ball before, I'd always used Dulux but I struggled to find any exterior paint with a decent colour range on the high street so thought I'd try it. I bought the exterior eggshell version and it was so lovely to use, quite thick but didn't streak or run, went on like silk and dried quick. I am so pleased with the final result, the colour is so eye catching and unusual, I'm thrilled to bits and will definitely use Farrow and Ball again and soon.
