Nothing at all to dislikeWe’re very happy with our choice of School House White Dead Flat finish in our new garden room. Our room is North West facing and the paint reads warm/neutral with subtle changes across the day from cream to clay to warm or even greenish beige. The colour looks good with light oak floor and our black metal framed doors. We just used a white trim for skirting boards and ceilings. All looks very smart but also welcoming.

Beautiful paintSchool House White is perfect in our through dining/living room. It is a soft of white and takes on a different shade throughout the day. I chose dead flat and it has a lovely finish. I also painted the radiators in the same paint, having alway previously used white gloss paint, I am really pleased with the result. it's easy to use and covers really well.

Make sure you get a tester pot to save time & moneI bought this paint to repaint my shaker kitchen cupboards. I bought a sample first from B&Q but in emulsion rather than eggshell. Unfortunately when I got the eggshell and tried it out the colour was too dark. However I will try it on the panneling I'm putting up in my bathroom so its not wasted. I bought another farrow and ball shadow white for my kitchen.

A Quality ProductLiving in the Highlands it is not always too easy to pop along to your local paint shop! Ordering online was easy with the added bonus of free delivery. The paint arrived well packaged a few days later. The quality of the paint was evident from the way it easily covered the walls and ceiling. exceptional paint and great delivery too!My favourite paint to work with thus far. The colours are spectacular how they change in the light especially in northern(ish) Alberta. Summer to winter the ambiance from the paint on the wall feels seasonal as well. I've chosen to paint our walls in the Dead Flat and the trim and doors in the same colour but Modern Emusion. We live in a log house and I appreciate the subtle contrast from the sheen difference. The bonus for me is Farrow and Ball's great delivery timing. I live 3 hours from a major center and the quick delivery is really appreciated!

Beyond my ExpectationsI have the luxury of being near a showroom and went in for several consultations and many samples. Funny that in the end my color scheme will be one that is on the Eddy page. Eight weeks of hard work (stripping the stairs) is finally done and the effort was worth it! The three pictures below are all from the same time, just in different lighting. The dead flat finish is amazing, albeit with its new qualities unproven (I don’t ever want to see a speck of dust on the stairs)! This is my first time using F&B and am hooked!

Beautiful soft warm whiteI used School House White in my south facing living room. It was used over a start white that was too jarring. It is the most wonderful soft white that maybe only leans a tad yellow at the height of a sunny afternoon, otherwise it is the most beautiful soft white with a hint of warm gray. It is definitely a chamelion color that plays well with my burnt orange couch in my updated 1910 home. It works beautifully next to the dining area that is painted Shaded White. I would use again for a clean updated, not stark or boring cool gray room, Two coats covered perfectly...

One of my favourites so far!Following our colour consultation, we’ve used school house white on our open plan kitchen/living room walls, skirtings and wooden window frames. Paired with Shaded White kitchen cabinets and of black & mouses back accent woodwork and furniture. All white has been used on the ceiling. Such a gorgeous neutral which changes depending on the sun. This is a south facing room. We used modern emulsion due to it being a high use area and having a dog - so far so good - very distance and wipeable!

My favorite whiteI really cannot stress this enough but buy the real thing. Color matches don’t compare. I absolutely love school house white, it’s the perfect warm creamy white. The undertones of color matched paints make it look completely different than the real thing when painted over such a large surface. My only complaint is both the dead flat and modern eggshell I used had a shorter open time than I’m used to, but otherwise the paint is really nice and the glossier modern eggshell was the same color as the dead flat. With other brands the different sheens can look like completely different colors. 100% recommend

Something a little extra for the paying customer.Paint covered well. Some areas required a 3rd coat but I didn’t use primer. A customized pouring tool should be given when purchasing a gallon of paint at this price point. Especially because the size of the can and inside lip isn’t like most brands. They don’t even give you an opening tool for Christ sake.

Ruined by deliveryThis 100ml pot was delivered by what must have been a 20 ton lorry which came down very narrow country lanes. F&B’s response was that they do not have any control over their couriers?
I thought it would come in the post. Environmental impact shocking.
Back in 2010, we moved to an entirely water based range of finishes, becoming the first in the industry to do so. These low-odour, low-VOC finishes are easy to clean without harmful solvents. They are also certified child- and baby-safe in accordance with Safety of Toys Part 3: Migration of certain elements (EN 71-3:2019+A1:2021).
Exclusions: Casein Distemper, Wood Primer & Undercoat and Metal Primer & Undercoat.
Quality Finishes
Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat - see above for the correct tone for this colour.
