Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely, but quite a dark shade I’ve tried seven sample whites from Farrow and Ball now. Love how easy it is to apply the paint and the matt finish is gorgeous. But I still haven’t found the right shade for my living room and kitchen. We get a lot of light in these rooms. I was advised by the paint shop to try Schoolhouse White. Honestly, it looks like a dark beige or biscuit color depending on the time of day. Nothing white about it. Also tried the Strong White, which looks very grey (light in the day and darker in the afternoon - again, not the least bit white). All the colors are lovely, but still on the hunt for that elusive shade that will work with all the light we get and our furniture. I do recommend these paints, though, for the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful finish I recently painted my porch floor, which was in terrible condition. The previous owner sanded the floor and did quite extensive damage to it. The radiator burst as well with this owner and had never been replaced. The porch was wet and unheated for unknown length of time. So, I did a remodel as soon as I could. I used Farrow & Ball paint for the first time and I loved it. Note, I didn't use a primer because I was leery of putting another paint below the F&B. I should have done 'something' to prepare the floor besides cleaning. The tannins in the wood bled through & it took four coats of paint to get it evenly covered. I did 'spot' spray a clear acrylic on the problem spots after the second coat and this helped a great deal. I attached before and after photos.
