Pale Powder

A gentle aqua

Our most popular shade of aqua is a lighter version of an archived Farrow & Ball colour, Powder Blue. Pale Powder has an unparalleled softness and in north facing rooms can read almost as a delicate grey, but it is rarely cold due to the addition of green pigment. It is a great favourite for use in pretty attic bedrooms where it can be brushed onto both ceiling and walls to create an airy feeling of light and space.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: White & Light Tones

Complementary white: Wimborne White

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pale Powder is beautiful So happy with how Pale Powder turned out in our dining room. We used modern emulsion 2 coats after 2 coats of primer to cover a deep gold color that was previously on the walls. The paint covered nicely with one coat but the second coat really brings out the color. Agree with others, it changes in the light and with the time of day, sometimes more light blue, sometimes the hint of green really shows through. Including night and day photos. At all times a beautiful light aqua. Love it so much!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glorious Pale Powder! Pale Powder is simply glorious. I planned to use it for the entry nook in our apartment, then liked it so much that I painted the hallway in it, in Modern Eggshell, and am now going to paint part of our currently white living room in the same color. The color can look quite blue or blue-green depending on the light/other colors around it. (We have a pink runner in the hallway, and the combination is wonderful.) I strongly advise using the F&B primer, and using two coats, which really makes the paint come alive. This was my first time painting on my own, and the experience was great: no strong fumes, and the paint dried very, very fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beautiful, natural looking duck egg blue. We tried so many matchpots before choosing Pale Powder emulsion, together with cupboards and alcove in Inchyra Blue, to freshen up our tired, south east facing kitchen. It’s a lovely soft shade of blue, with a hint of green. It’s also ever so slightly mucky looking, just like a real duck egg and this stops it from looking too brash in our Victorian terraced house. Overall, a lovely, soft colour for a south facing room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time using F&B and impressed! We tried out about six colours before settling on Pale Powder and are very pleased with the colour and finish. Pale Powder is lovely and will look great with our new light oak kitchen and white quartz worktops. Although the name suggests the paint is blue, it’s quite neutral really and would work well with other accent colours in the kitchen! We will definitely use F&B elsewhere in the house!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just so lovely I needed a colour for my lounge that would bring in light yet still feel cosy on an evening. This is perfect. It changes as the light moves and can be a pale blue, mint green, green silver but no matter which it looks so lovely. It's a colour you just dont find anywhere. Its brought light into my lounge yet still cosy on an evening. Its fresh and I love it. Went on so well as all my F&B does.
