A rich double cream
Paint Colours: Dorset Cream
Dorset Cream’s name conjures up exactly the right colour in our minds; a rich double cream made in the heart of the West Country. A darker and more yellow version of Farrow's Cream, it should never be used with a bright white but with a sympathetic tone like New White, to create a gentle and charming scheme.
Available in our brand new Dead Flat® finish for walls, woodwork and metal.
Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Mid Tones
Complementary white: White Tie

Back to the future with Dorset Cream
After a long trip around other makes and colours of paints I am firmly back to all my old favourites of 20+ years ago, I love FB Dorset Cream which is far deeper, more complex and modern than the name suggests and makes any room (a smallish guest room in this case) look like summer. I’m also back in love with Bone which is the sort of colour only FB gets right and perfect - and if you’re ever planning on taking them out of the Archive, I long again for Light Stone and Stone Green

Fantastic Colour! Brightens up my room!
I used Dorset cream in my lounge recently having decided to redecorate as the walls were looking tired. Prior to that I'd just completed painting my adjoining open plan stairwell and landing with what I thought was a similar shade called Buttermilk from another leading brand. Having used New White on several natural wood doors, skirting and a built in bookcase, combined with the Dorset Cream the combination in my lounge was stunning. The colours are deep, rich and just very F&B.
This created a very clear comparison with the brand I'd used to paint the stairway and landing making the stairs look bland and tepid. I went out despite only having painted the stairs a week earlier and ordered 5L of Dorset Cream and repainted over the other brand so to have Dorset Cream flowing from the living room up to my stairs and landing.
F&B was twice the price of the other leading brand but you really do get what you pay for. The colours are so rich and vibrant and really stand out from the mass produced brands at half the price - and, my room has never looked lighter!
