A tranquil lilac

Calluna takes its name from the beautiful heather so prolific across the moors of Scotland. A touch of black ensures that it appears more lilac than pink, making this colour feel both soft and tranquil yet strangely sophisticated. It can be contrasted with sympathetic Great White or used with darker Brassica and Pelt to great effect.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: White & Light Tones

Complementary white: Wimborne White

Calluna is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 94.

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love sample pots Being able to paint small areas in several shades is vital, so samples pots are invaluable. The difference is amazing and the one you thought looked right on the chart usually isn't the one you pick!! The depth of pigment justifies the price of F & B paints but I wish the sample pots could be a little cheaper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, hard wearing coverage I decorated our hall, stairs and landing in Calluna, but was unsure if it would withstand the daily battering from boys, dogs, cats and a husband with an absolute disregard for freshly-painted walls. The coverage was perfect, it’s wipeable and looks beautiful despite being in an area with limited amounts of natural light. It shifts colour throughout the day and moves between shades of grey and lilac, so I’d suggest hanging lining paper on your wall with the shade painted on and leaving it there for a day or two to check if you love how it looks at various times of day. I love it, my children’s football boots haven’t destroyed it and it brings so much warmth to an area that would otherwise be fairly bland. Highly recommendable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colour I purchased various colours ( all light pastel shades ) for the bedrooms and the hall of my house. I did take the advice of also buying the undercoat/primer. After applying the primer and the first coat you could still see that there were areas not fully covered, however, the second coat made a world of difference. My wife is really pleased with the colours shades and the quality of the paint. I used the paint as instructed on the tins and was impressed that it was not ' chalky ' like some brands of paints. I would certainly not hesitate to use this pain again.
