Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect colour for kitchen/ dining room Following major refurbishment knocking two rooms into an open plan kitchen / diner I was looking for the right colour to finish off a new cream and black kitchen. In my mind's eye I pictured an olive but the first sample pots we bought looked too blue or green on the walls. Returning to the shop on Edinburgh we discussed what we wanted with a very helpful member of staff who suggested Bone. I thought it looked too muddy and indeed, on first application it did. However, after the second coat it is the perfect shade of olive. My husband said it was an excellent paint to use, the texture of the paint looks lovely on the walls. Much admired by friends and family. Recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dreadful paint job in Modern Emulsion Having used a matt F&B in cornforth white and stiffkey blue in two rooms before we decided to paint the kitchen in Bone in Modern Emulsion. The overall look is far more green than we had anticipated despite doing quite a large sample test - my main bugbear is that despite painting the kitchen less than 6 months ago I thought I would retouch behind the dining room chairs and some other child made scuff marks and the result is dreadful. It is streaky, shiny, and looks like damp patches all over the wall. We are going to have to repaint the whole kitchen, it is a right mess. Paint was from the same batch and had been stored inside. Really annoyed.
