Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great base colour with fresh cool grey tone Very happy with Blackened. I wanted a subtle grey to go alongside Railings and Down Pipe (which are both stunning on the wall) and this colour is the perfect contrast. In some lights it can look off white or dark white, but with my woodwork bright white it highlights the gorgeous grey tones. It's cool and airy, yet not cold. I have it in my kitchen, which looks great against my cream cupboards, thankfully toning down the yellow tones. Quality is good, but not washable and a few coats required to cover yellow tones underneath and filled cracks. I should have chosen Estate Emulsion for a kitchen though, so my own fault for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cool grey colour We went for Blackened (estate emulsion) on pretty much all the walls in our new house. A great alternative to creamy beige if you want something that isn't as stark as full white, but still has that light, cool feeling. It looks slightly different in every light with some lovely variations - from matt, saturated grey at night to a slight hint of lilac in full daylight. We paired it with Wevet on the ceilings, Pavilion Grey on the woodwork, Osmo Amber polyx oil on our pine floors, Mizzle on the steps of the stairs, and Railings for a few dark accents.
