Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful colour but really poor finish This paint is a lovely colour but I'm not happy with the end result. I read the advice from F&B and followed the instructions to the letter using the dark tones undercoat x 2 and then 2x layers of Drawing Room Blue Estate Emulsion carefully avoiding 'overpainting'. The colour looked spectacular but in daylight the walls had a shiny streakyness all over. I decided to try another coat but it now looks even worse. I painted most of room this colour #it's a large bedroom# but I can't face painting it again so I'm just going to have to put up with the finish. It does feel disappointing to get this kind of finish after putting all that work in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and a smooth finish when watered down a little I've painted our dining room entirely in this colour with pointing woodwork and ceiling and it looks wonderful. It brings out the warmth in mahogany furniture particuarly well. We found that the solution to a streaky finish (especially when painting with a brush) was to water the paint down a bit. I think the problem is that the paint dries so quickly, that it leaves streaks because it's drying both on the wall and on the brush. With a bit of water, I was able to get full, smooth coverage in two coats, even without an undercoat and over a light shade of paint.
