There are three strands at the core of Farrow & Ball: pioneering, extraordinary and true. This is our DNA, defining who we are, guiding our decisions and shaping our behaviour. How we treat each other is woven through each element.

Health and Wellbeing
We’re passionate about what we do, but we know that work isn’t the be all and end all. The health and wellbeing of our employees is most important.
We have an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), a free-to-use service offering assessments, counselling and referrals for a range of issues from physical and mental health to family, financial or legal advice. We’ve also partnered with Self Space, a leading expert on mental health in the workplace, to offer therapist-led workshops, talks and training sessions.
No matter where they are in the world, how they’re starting a family, or how long they’ve worked for Farrow & Ball, our global parental leave policy is there to support employees through one of life’s biggest moments. You can find the details in our Responsibility Report.
Learning and Development
We believe learning and development are vital to our success. That’s why we’re cultivating a workplace that empowers our team to grow, develop new skills and realise their full potential. We have a dedicated team passionate about supporting every member of staff around the world, ensuring everyone has the tools they need to succeed.
Fair Pay
We believe in rewarding a job well done. We’re proud to say that we don’t have a gender pay gap. You can find out more about this in our Gender Pay Gap Report. As a global employer, we also meet the legal requirements in every country where we have employees. In the UK, we pay above the national minimum wage. We also carry out an annual pay review for all of our employees around the world, based on the performance of both the business and the individual.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (D,E&I)
We’re dedicated to continuing to foster an environment where differences are valued, and practices are equitable. Everyone who works at Farrow & Ball should feel the kind of inclusion that allows them to be their true selves and contribute their best.
We also proudly support United in Design. This charitable organisation is driven by the need for an equal opportunity pathway into the interior design industry for people from ethnic minority and socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Giving Back
We’re always considering how we can support our community, both at home in Dorset and in the wider world. Here are three ways we’re currently giving back:
River Allen CIC: helping to care for the rare chalkstream that runs through our local landscape and serves as one of our main water sources
Painting with Pride: our long-term commitment bringing the positive power of colour to spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community
Hempel Foundation: as part of Hempel A/S, majority owned by the Hempel Foundation, we're proud to play our part in funding projects to protect biodiversity, empower children to learn, and make our industry more sustainable
