Verdigris Green

Verdigris Green is from our new Colour by Nature palette, created in collaboration with the Natural History Museum to bring the true colours of nature into your home.

An elegant copper green

While happy and lively on first glance, Verdigris Green retains a reassuring feel and underlying elegance when used in the home. A rich blend of pigments allows it to feel more vibrant teamed with lighter tones than with darks, and it takes on added vitality when combined with Dutch Orange or Lake Red.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Mid Tones

Complementary white: Snow White

Verdigris Green is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 13.

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from En suite transformation My new house's en suite was blinding white so I used a selection of greens to make a pleasing geometric print. It's now my haven in my house. I love all the greens I used but verdigris really pops out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing colour I bought this paint to spruce up our tired looking front door- went for full gloss but was little nervous about this. Turns out I didn’t need to be- the coverage was great, and the colour was exactly as I’d hoped it would. We now have a happy looking front door and we love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rich Vibrant colour. Having used F & B Rectory Red on 2 walls in our "Snug" I chose Verdigris Green for the sun room. White was just too bright. The results were fantastic. Deep, rich colour makes the room come to life. A great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous highly pigmented jewel colour. Love it Purchased Modern emulsion (which I’ve not used before) to paint our small kitchen, found the paint difficult to work with & too shiny unlike the estate emulsion which I ended up painting over with. Wow, what a transformation. The kitchen is now a welcoming colourful space to work in. Love this colour and love the estate emulsion finish.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lovely colours I recently bought 4 different colours of 6 year exterior eggshell plus undercoat paint. I thoroughly prepared the table and chairs with washing, sanding and cleaning before dismantling the wooden parts from the metal framework. I then applyied black Hammerite paint to the metal framework. Two coats of undercoat and 2 top coats of colour were applied to the wooden parts. The undercoat painting was not easy to apply but the top colour paint was even harder. I have used Farrow and Ball paint for numerous years all very successfully. However these paints must have some type of plasticiser to give them 6 years durability and as soon as the lid was off and the paint stirred well it started to form a coat in the tin and on the painted wooden items. It was not at all easy to apply and I definitely will not be purchasing this type of paint again. The finished result looks good from afar but not close up.
