A deep, intense blue
Scotch Blue is from our new Colour by Nature palette, created in collaboration with the Natural History Museum to bring the true colours of nature into your home.
This intensely pigmented blue brings a smart look and luxurious atmosphere to any room, especially those designed for entertaining. Particularly eye-catching when combined with Ash Grey woodwork, Scotch Blue creates inviting spaces that you can’t wait to escape to at the end of the day.

Beautiful colour
I purchased the paint with the plan to paint half walls in my living room. We were deciding between Hague Blue and Scotch Blue, and eventually went with the latter as it has more of a red tint which matched the rest of our furniture better.
Really pleased with the result - we used the recommended dark tone primer and the top coat just glided on beautifully. The colour is so rich and changes with the lighting in the room. It's more vibrant in daytime and at night it's darker and adds a cozy feeling to the room.
We would highly recommend this colour and Farrow & Ball paints. I have ordered more tester pots and looking to paint the bedroom next.

Spectacular outdoors
I chose Scotch Blue for the for drama and drawing the eye from indoors to outdoors with
the complemenatry colours used indoors. I painted my outdoor eating table chairs the scotch blue with ash grey for the table top and london clay table pedestal base. Spectacuar! It gave my outdoor casual elegance. Scotch blue goes well with the natural outdoor greens, browns , flower colours. It is even complementary with cerelean blue sky and the many colors of twilight. Scotch blue turns a inky blue black in twilight and has a reflective glow in outdoor candle light. Three coats were required for the depth and a velvety appearance. Scotch blue is one of Farrow and Ball's strokes of colur genius!
