A rich deep purple
Imperial Purple is from our new Colour by Nature palette, created in collaboration with the Natural History Museum to bring the true colours of nature into your home.
Deep Imperial Purple transforms dining rooms and other intimate spaces, creating a luxurious look and enveloping feel. Used in smaller quantities, such as inside a bookcase, it can add a rich pocket of colour to even the most neutral of rooms – try it with soft Snow White and Ash Grey for a relaxed scheme with a playful touch.
Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Dark Tones

Great colour, not right for us.
This is great colour, very bold, I was frustrated with lack of review pictures and opportunity to view imperial purple online. Various retailers advertise the paint but the colours vary so much so here are mine. One wall gets no light and the other gets lots of light. The paint was lovely, very easy to apply, great coverage and no smell. We were sent the 7% silk version by mistake which showed awful brush marks on the wall with more light. Hopefully this review will help others as I didn’t ages searching for the right colour.

Beautiful colour
I have just moved into my new home after my divorce. I did my old place out in the dark blues, which I loved, but wanted something a little different in this house. I loved the inertial purple as soon as I saw it. It needed 3 coats to give the finish achieved in the picture. I was a bit scared at first, as after 2 coats it looked very patchy, but coat 3 sorted it out. I put strong white on the other walls & will paint the cupboards in ammonite, I’ll add bright orange drawer & cupboard knobs. I’m very happy with this strong colour.
