Dutch Orange is from our new Colour by Nature palette, created in collaboration with the Natural History Museum to bring the true colours of nature into your home.

A clean bright orange

Dutch Orange is a clean bright orange with the ability to enliven any space. With a dynamic quality that brings an enveloping warmth to rooms, it feels lively combined with Verdigris Green and Skimmed Milk White, and looks particularly stunning with a Duck Green trim.

WATER BASED AND CHILD-SAFE

Back in 2010, we moved to an entirely water based range of finishes, becoming the first in the industry to do so. These low-odour, low-VOC finishes are easy to clean without harmful solvents. They are also certified child- and baby-safe in accordance with Safety of Toys Part 3: Migration of certain elements (EN 71-3:2019+A1:2021).

Exclusions: Casein Distemper, Wood Floor Primer & Undercoat, Wood Knot & Resin Blocking Primer & Undercoat, and Metal Primer & Undercoat.


QUALITY FINISHES

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.


SAFETY INFORMATION

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely rich colour I used Dutch Orange in a relatively small bedroom. I was initially nervous that it might overpower the room, but there’s a depth to the colour which makes it far less agressive than I had feared. I used three coats and no primer, the recorded primer being close to the cream already in the room. It goes on incredibly easily and two coats would probably be enough if you’re careful to avoid streaks. The colour is beautiful, bright and fresh in the sunlight and warm and comforting in candle or lamplight. I can’t recommend it enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Going Dutch Arrived super fast and the sample tim was generous. You will have to do at least 5-6 coats to even out the colour as it’s a very strong block colour, but you won’t be disappointed with the results. I paired the colour with dulux fine cream which I had over from earlier decorating project and as I already had blue/ teal furniture I felt it was an excellent match to give a bright modern feel with dark wood shelving to contrast and a mocha carpet. (This was a full room renovation project). One person has taken the sample tin to purchase herself as she loves the colour ans two others of my contacts are in the process of purchasing after seeing my results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It grew on me I bought the sample pot for this paint a year ago and when I lifted the lid recoiled at how bright it was. 10 other sample pots later, we put it on the wall and were immediately smitten. It's a beautiful warm orange, which seems to change to a lovely tan colour in the evening and a almost egg yolk orange in the morning. We love it. It did take about 4 coats but definitely worth it.
