Archive Collection: Fowler Pink

A bright orange-pink

This shade of pink was one particularly favoured by decorator and colourist John Fowler, who used it often in paints and wallpapers. With a tone that verges on orange, it’s a brighter, more saturated alternative to our more complex pinks, such as Setting Plaster or Dead Salmon.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Red & Warm Tones

Complementary white: Dimity

Archive Collection: Fowler Pink is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7.

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from interior designer I bought Fowler Pink years ago for my large and uninteresting dining room. I am stuck with a family oriental rug in dark colors and a lot of mahogany furniture and this color really livens up the room. It also looks great with all my blue and white transferware. We're getting ready to paint the dining room again, same color!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fowler Pink - a huge success I painted my kitchen with this in 2006 and loved it so much; I have just re-decorated our downstairs cloakroom in the same colour and it is such a warm original colour. Thoroughly recommend !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bring It Back! I’m not sure why this shade has been archived as it’s so on trend. It presents as a warm terracotta and teams really nicely with dark blues and greens. I painted the walls and ceiling of my new shop in Fowler Pink and will definitely be using it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb classic colour We painted our hall this colour 20 years ago and are about to renew it. This remains a classic colour and usually attracts comment, when everyone else's hall is some shade of grey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from soft teracotta In our dark, cold dining room, we used Fowler Pink on the walls. I thought it might limit my choice of furnishings, but have found it to be a versatile, soft red.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good match! Expensive to get a colour's just a paint machine, but if you want to purchase something that is no longer stocked, then the end result is excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fowler Pink Sample Typically good F&B product that flows beautifully from the brush. Delivery by FedEx was extremely quick and very helpful. Sadly the shade is not what I am looking for as I want something with more of a terracotta hue - but that's what samples pots are for!
