A sombre brown
In colourists' terms, 'drab' simply means a colour lacking in brightness, and this typical 18th-century colour encapsulates it perfectly. Particularly good on woodwork, both interior and exterior, when teamed with Off-White on walls.
Available in our brand new Dead Flat® finish for walls, woodwork and metal.
Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Dark Tones
Complementary white: Off-White

What a beautiful colour!
I couldn’t be more pleased. First I had chosen a linen wallpaper but it was difficult to find a matching paint colour for the other walls. Just when I thought it was impossible I checked the archive colours. A local shop had samples and it was perfect! I use it in our bedroom in a house from 1910 with high ceilings. Ceiling will be in lime white. Just finished the door and frame and can’t wait to start on the walls! Colour has a beautiful depth, very unusual but classic at the same time. Looks lovely with black and wood. Will download a photo when finished!
