Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beautiful paint This is a superb shade of green and very effective to apply - and clean brushes afterwards. Its depth of colour and sheen of gloss are especially complimentary to brass door furniture.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great colours - BUT We really like the colour of the paint (Carriage Green) for the outside of our house woodwork. However, our decorator told us that the consistency of the paint isn’t what it should be, as he described it as sliding off, and he needed 3 coats plus primer/ undercoat to make it right. We have used Farrow and Ball for years and not had this problem before. Perhaps it is just this batch. The colour is lovely and we had enough to do the three coats but it does mean that we probably have to pay the decorator more. He does a thorough job, taking the wood back to its original state and fixing any little bumps and bruises, so if anyone was going to make it work, he could.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pot leaking during transport Great paint & colour that we already used in the past. A shame that the pot cover was not fixed properly and it leaked during transport; we saw it a couple of hours drooping through the still unopened package unto the cupboard it was on

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn’t cover very well Normally I can’t fault farrow and ball emulsion or eggshell finish but this was my first full gloss purchase, for my refurbished front door. All I can say is that I’m disappointed in the finish. Firstly each coat took 2-3 DAYS to dry - not ideal when painting a front door which needs to be closed for security. I ended up having to take it off for a week while the paint dried. Secondly the actual finish and coverage even after 3 coats is not great. I used F&B mid tones grey undercoat but doesn’t seem to have made a difference. I think I’m going to have to get a different product to give it another go over the top of the F&B. I don’t know if it’s a general full gloss issue or just this colour, but as a result I can’t recommend it.
