What we are doing?
Farrow & Ball websites have been tested against multiple accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA.
These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.
WCAG 2.2AA guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA) and we are targeting Level AA compliance for our website.
Our Progress so far
Currently our websites are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, and we’re working hard to complete the final areas that need improving.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
Non Compliance:
· Some links and buttons on CMS pages require aria labels adding.
· Content carousels are currently inaccessible as keyboard navigation is not working properly with them.
· Some images on the CMS pages require alt text adding to them.
· Accordions are currently not able to be activated using keyboard only navigation.
· The menu requires a main tag and there are some links that will require aria labels.
· Focus indication needs to be updated on the checkout to be more visible and added to other areas of the site.
· For the parallax feature any content that disappears needs to have aria-hidden set to true.
Exemptions:
· The visual presentation of text or images of text may not always have a contrast ratio of 4.5:1 where there is a need to accurately portray paint colours.
· Imagery that is purely decorative will not have alt text added to it.
Vendors and Third-Party Content
While we do not control such vendors, we strongly encourage vendors of third-party digital content to provide content that is accessible and user friendly.
