Vert De Terre

No. 234

Vert De Terre 4.9 5 29 29
Love this colour The paint is actually a little greener and a little darker than portrayed - and will definitely need 2 (possibly 3) coats for a really even and beautiful finish. We have this colour in our kitchen which is really bright so we can get away with a darker wall. The finish is very warm and I'm so glad I picked this colour as it matches the James White we used really well. 26 August 2014
Perfect colour My front door looks so much better now. The colour is perfect. Great quality. 30 July 2014
Slightly lighter shade than expected Great quality paint as always but the final finish is much lighter than the colour guide suggests. 12 June 2014
Very disappointed Even on a cold day the paint dries far too quickly leaving brush strokes. When painting a front door by the time you have finished painting one panel, it almost dries meaning that when you paint near an already nearly dry area, the surface of the paint 'scuffs' with an unsightly finish. I used a quality synthetic brush and then resorted to a gloss roller specifically for water based paint and the finish is still very poor. The gloss is nearly eggshell/satin in some areas and slightly glossy in others which isn't what I wanted and not like the supplied colour swatch showing finishes implied. Colour choice is much better than rivals but I will always use solvent based paint in future as it still has the finish that I expect. I just hope that the paint lasts, as I spent a long time preparing the two doors' surfaces, taking them right back to base materials and don't really want to waste days repeating the lengthy process. 12 May 2014
Easy to use lovely finish Used this as a floor paint looks great went on nicely and has a great finish. The light green has really brightened up the room 09 May 2014
Beautiful Colour I have used this lovely colour For a couple of Years now and I never tire of it. I painted My garden Gate and some wooden garden pots and they look stunning. I used the exterior version. 30 April 2014
Very classy and elegant color I used this color for my kitchen walls. I wanted something a little darker than Cooking Apple Green, and lighter than Ball green (which are the other two colors I used in my house). This accomplished it. I am very happy with my choice. To me, it's a very modern and elegant color - not too over-stated. My kitchen does not have windows, so the blue tones do show up. I would think more of the green would show in a brighter space. But in my space, it turns out the perfect combination - not too green and not too blue. And the result is a very calming effect. I would recommend this color for any kind of space, because of its neutral and under-stated effect. Virtually any color accessories/furniture could work with it. In my opinion, it really is a perfect backdrop color. 09 March 2014
The perfect green I bought 5 litres of Vert de Terre to paint my dining room, with Lime White on the picture rail and woodwork. I was a little concerned when I painted a square to check the colour as it appeared a bit too 'pastel' and not a very rich colour. I needn't have worried. The final look is very elegant with a gorgeous pigment and good coverage. It is the perfect green - not too wishy washy and not too dominating. The Lime White complements it perfectly - looking white, cream and even slightly 'custard' depending on the light. Even better, I had enough paint left over to paint one of my bedrooms as it seemed to go so far. My decorator HATES using F&B though - but I think it's wonderful! 20 February 2014

This is reminiscent of the pigment green earth. Darker and cooler than Cooking Apple Green, yet lighter and less stony coloured than Stone White.
