Strong White is not only strong by name but strong by nature. It is the perfect white for use in modern homes, particularly popular in contemporary kitchens when combined with white gloss units. It is grey in tone but has an element of warmth to it when compared to the cooler Blackened. It is also the perfect white for woodwork throughout the house with any of the Easy or Contemporary Neutrals. White & Light Tones Undercoat.

Excellent warm white Used F&B for our newly renovated house. All skirting, architrave and window sills in strong white and the walls in skimming stone estate emulsion. Also painted all our old pine bedroom furniture in Dove Tale. Found guidance regarding what colours go with what really useful and the helpline was superb. Today I branched away from recommended colours and have painted shelves in Castle gray, a lovely contrast from the other greys. 28 May 2015
A perfect comlement with F&B Skimming Stone Very good finish . We used in a Kitchen Diner conversion . White ceiling, top part of wall 'Strong White' , lower part of wall 'Skimming stone' - divided by a daido rail. A stunning combination with the 'mussel' colour of the kitchen cupboards. 17 May 2015
Enjoy painting again. Moved home and decided to re-paint over a period of six weeks. Decide to go expensive and what a luxury using Farrow and Ball paint. Easy to use, great coverage and great finish. Emulsions only needed two coats. Beautiful colour. 30 April 2015
A beautiful grey In true F&B style Strong White is actually a grey. It's a very elegant and very pale grey which has a clear and crisp finish. We painted a large loft style room with exposed beams in Strong White and Skimming Stone for some of the woodwork. My only regret is, if doing it again, I would have painted the beams in the Strong White as well. As it would have simplified the scheme and the painting. Really happy with it, on cloudy days it's a calm grey and on sunny days it's a velvet white. 16 March 2015
Strong White in masonry Used this on exposed indoor brick work and am pleased with colour although would say it is very much a pale grey. 26 February 2015
Lovely paint to use with great finish This paint has a great old-fashioned colour; the dead flat white is lovely and very easy to paint. If the room is warm and dry you may need to add 15% water to get a smooth finish as this paint dries fast. I turned radiators off and opened windows on a damp day and achieved a brilliant smooth finish. The paint covers well but a good undercoat would be recommended. 23 February 2015
a great experience Despite the logistic problems I met to obtain the product I´am very happy with the result. The dark brown wooden ceiling of the living our French cottage has been changed into a light and bright space with this ´contemporary´ colour. It remained the desired atmosphere of the campagne and the product respects the original old oak structure of the house. It´s interesting how this white has different shades from white to a glimpse of grey depending on the daylight. It is remarkble just one layer of primer and one layer of Strong White estate eggshell was enough for a great result. 08 January 2015
Beautiful paint I was wary about paying so much (let's face it, it isn't cheap paint) but having received and used it I have no reservations about ordering F&B paint again. It is beautiful in colour, texture and finish, and was a joy to apply. It is completely matt, and the depth and quality of pigment is far superior to anything I have used before. It changes subtly in different lights and every variation is equally lovely. I love my living room in its new coat. 07 January 2015
