Railings is a softer alternative to black on all ironwork, hence its name. When used in Full Gloss on front doors it appears handsome and commanding but becomes much more relaxed in feel if used in Estate Eggshell. The fact that it is definitely more blue than black makes it soft enough to use in interiors, to create dramatic enveloping spaces. Dark Tones Undercoat.

Do not use in bathroom I have fallen in love with this colour! It's absolutely gorgeous. I painted my bathroom this colour and it looked fantastic... Unfortunately after only a few days I'm now left with streaky watermarks all over! Although it states its for kitchen and bathrooms I highly recommend NOT using it in these areas! I now will have to buy another paint and somehow cover it!!! Massive Shame! 15 April 2015
Best for any colour Used this color for a kitchen shop interior, (eggshell), to pick out all the other colours and archectual details, it looks very dark almost black at night with warm light, and dark blue in natural daylight. It's suttle and not too harsh, blends well. Goes with all other colours. RWMH, Interior Designer/Film Production Designer. 09 April 2015
Easy to apply, great lasting finish and look amazing in our photos We are a furniture design company based in Cornwall and have used this colour in our showroom and in many of our Tom Raffield photo-shoots. The colour is beautiful and really compliments the wood we use in our products. I would recommend this colour to anyone who wants to make their furniture stand out in their space. 11 February 2015

This colour set a trend I chose railings in eggshell for the front door of my Georgian townhouse in Shrewsbury. I wanted to be a bit different so walked the town centre to check that there were no other doors painted this colour and there were none. The result was stunning and it received many compliments from people passing by. My only complaint is that it is such a good colour that there are now a number of front doors appearing in this colour in the town centre. 10 May 2014
very pleasing! Used this in Dead Flat on old shelves which we've mounted on walls in our kitchen, dining area. The walls are Reading Room Yellow. It looks perfect & we get endless praise from friends who love the effect. I don't know about the bronze tones mentioned in the description? Don't see it! But it's a lovely soft black; not grey, not black. It has depth & I love it! 17 March 2014
Nice blue-black colour We used this product to paint the inside of our fireplace black -- we wanted a muted black, not too grey and not too black. I think this product is called "Railings" to evoke the colour you see on faded painted black iron rails, seems very successful. I would recommend using this colour for other places you want a subtle black. We'll be using the rest of the large can on our two upstairs decorative Victorian fireplaces as well. 09 March 2014
