Oval Room Blue

No. 85

* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Oval Room Blue is the most blackened of our blues, giving it a timeless pared down feel. It sits perfectly with the very popular greys, so is ideal for use in contemporary houses to create depth and balance in either a hall or a darker, cosier TV room. Dark Tones Undercoat.

the colour was great and had depth. would use Farrow and Ball again, shop service good, and the samples from the factory came very quickly. Excellent Service. 19 June 2015
Recommended only if F&B paint brush used I applaud F&B colours, quality of paint and eco-friendly products. I was very pleased with the colour of Oval Room Blue exterior gloss for our front door. However it was very difficult to achieve a finish without brush marks showing, and the paint dries so quickly that any revisiting of areas already laid off left patchy marks. This was despite adequate preparation and application as specified. I revisited the website to see if, as stated on the tin in small print, it is advisable to use F&B brushes, and I could see no reference to this. Given my experience, I think this is a big omission. 14 June 2015
Amazing colour Love the colour. Used on one wall but will paint entire room in same as soon as the chance. 11 June 2015
Amazing colour depth but need twice amount recommended This colour is gorgeous and is very deep. It appears as different colours in different lights - from blue tones in bright south facing daylight to deep green at night in lamplight. At times it seems grey in between! We had newly plastered walls so our decorator used a standard white emulsion as a base coat. This caused us to need twice the recommended amount of f&b but to be fair it was our mistake with the undercoat that caused this. The deep, chalky finish was worth it though and we are so happy with the end result. It was our first time using f&b and won't be our last! However, supply of f&b in our area (Cumbria) is very poor and there are very few stockists; actually none in South Cumbria which is shocking. Please fix this f&b! 15 May 2015
I am so impressed with the quality and the final result. What impressed me is its application and the way it has held up under wear. It's two weeks since it was painted so it's fully cured, there are no scuff marks, it looks brilliant. Many thanks, 07 May 2015
Only used sample pot I only used a sample pot to help make a decision for my den. The color is more green with some blue in it. A deep muted color. Went on nicely even with a cheap brush and covered well with 2 coats. I used Tallow in my dining room which is stunning rich and elegant so definitely am going with a farrow and ball paint for my den. For my den I decided on stone blue. Will report back when it is done 03 May 2015
Excellent Really happy with the paint. Used the estimator tool and bought just the right amount with a little leftover for touch-ups. Also used the dark tones undercoat which I would recommend. Overall a lovely paint which changes in tone and colour according to the light. 10 April 2015
A beautiful and authentic finish Once again I am completely happy with another shade from Farrow and Ball. I have renovated a number of period houses now and I always turn to Farrow and Ball to capture that perfect authentic, period look. I used Oval room blue in my master bedroom and hallway and it looks truly beautiful with my vintage accessories. I was worried the depth of colour would make the room feel smaller but it really doesn't. A lovely tone of colour. Highly recommended. 20 March 2015
