Cord

No. 16

* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Cord is so called because it is a stronger version of String, both in colour and in its use! It has a traditional ‘below stairs’ feel and works as the perfect kitchen unit colour with String or Matchstick on the walls. It is an earthy green based neutral with a surprising strength of colour in underlit rooms, so is often used in studys and libraries. Mid Tones Undercoat.

Excellent colour and quality Bought this paint for my hall, stairs and landing. I wanted something that was warm looking and not too dark. I couldn't have been more pleased. It looks absolutely beautiful and really compliments the new carpet. Couldn't wish for better 22 January 2015
Wonderfully deep and naturally earthy colour I used this lovely warm and seemingly natural soft pale sand colour of Cord to draw the eye on and round from the mortar of a Victorian old exposed brick chimney breast which centers this room. I then chose to decorate the room picking out elements of the colours of the old and very varied brick and I painted the walls Fowler Pink and then at waist level throughout I introduced tongue and groove panelling which I painted in Book Room Red and then echoed the mortar by using Cord on the nose of the panel as well as the skirting. The overall effect is one of warmth and lovely natural and earthy colours - very simple but the effect is very welcoming. I painted the ceiling also in Fowler Pink so the eye is not drawn away from the cocoon effect of the warm colours. 30 September 2014
Wonderful! I love F & B paints, and this is no exception, one of my favourite colours. It's in my kitchen, and in a living room and bedroom under the dado rail - I have 'cream' above, with 'house white' on the woodwork. My friend has now done their study the same colour! I would never use any other make of paint. 04 April 2014
Beautiful Colour I used this in our Living room. I LOVE IT! Such a warm and neutral colour that goes with our furniture beautifully! Very happy I chose this - tried about 12 different samples. I teamed it up with pointing on the white woodwork and the ceiling as I felt pure white was too stark. Pointing too is a lovely colour and I have used it in many different areas of our period house. 02 April 2014
Beautiful calming shade and excellent coverage. I used this in my north-facing study on my wooden shelving and picture rail. It was combined with white tie above the picture rail and Wimborne white on the ceiling. The above combination had a beautiful result which complemented the pre-existing sandy-coloured wallpaper. It was slightly sticky to apply, however it dried very quickly, allowing successive coats to be applied in good time. Beautiful warm and calming shade. 03 November 2013

excellent cover looked good on completion The paint is excellent for outside as it dries quickly and enables a further coat on the same day. Have used F & B on many occasions and have been very satisfied with all aspects ordering, delivering and customer care. 27 August 2013
The best water-based paint that I have come across Painted kitchen cupboard doors with F and B Estate Eggshell on top of a base coat of Dulux Supergrip Primer and F and B undercoat. The result is superb - as long as you keep and eye on the runs in the corners of the mouldings. 25 July 2013
