Charleston Gray reads as a warm grey to some and a grey brown to others. Very popular for use in modern living rooms, it has no cold tones so creates a warm, enveloping and muted atmosphere. It is the perfect accent colour for all the warm Contemporary Neutrals or can be used on woodwork with rich Brinjal. Dark Tones Undercoat.

This is a spectacular colour for exteriors I used Charleston Grey exterior paint for our garage and front doors. The colour is a a perfect neutral - on the exterior it is a warm grey that blends perfectly with stonework, and on the interior of the front door it picks up the browns from the flooring. I do all my own painting, and this is the best paint I have used. It goes on smoothly, easily, and provides great coverage. The finish glows without being shiny. I will absolutely use this again. 10 June 2015

Delighted with this rich colour! Fantastic colour. Really pleased with my revamped bookcase. Never thought I'd like this as much as I do. Much prefer it to Elephant's Breath when using it as eggshell. Don't be put off by its dark appearance - you'll be surprised. 17 April 2015
FABULOUS So delighted with your paint, recently purchased your Charleston Grey and Elephants breath, have painted my boot room, utility room and kitchen, Looks amazing, great finish and fantastic quality. Well worth paying that wee bit extra for. Have sent a photo by e-mail! 22 March 2015
Lovely warm colour This is a lovely taupe/gray colour when you open the tin but when its on the wall it's more of a chocolately brown. Really lovely deep rich colour and gives a cosy feel to the room. Used on one wall in the lounge and all the kitchen. Many compliments highly recommend 11 January 2015
Fabulous colour definition We love F&B paints (never use anything else) My hsuband said he had to work quickly to get an even finish - but we love the colour! 13 November 2014
Amazing colour pay off...delighted Not an easy job but wowee it was worth it. We painted our very small and windowless downstairs cloakroom and as we started to paint I was not convinced as the paint looked very brown. However just ignore this stage because it is not until you build up the depth of colour that you really see the results. It took three coats but it looks amazing. I thought the room would feel very small being a darker colour but it is a real statement. Highly recommend this colour! 19 October 2014
This color has wonderful depth and warmth. We used Charleston Gray for trim and bookcases with Skimming Stone on the walls - a lovely effect. We were a little nervous when the dark undercoat was as blackish-gray as our Rustoleum, but it worked beautifully to give a depth of color and a warmth in this deep taupe. 14 October 2014
