Calke Green is a cleaned version of a colour originally found in the Breakfast Room at Calke Abbey. It is best used either on its own on both walls and woodwork, or with a darker neutral like Old White to enhance its rich nature. It is particularly suitable for libraries and drawing rooms due to its masculine, clubby feel. Dark Tones Undercoat.

Very pepperminty green I don't know what calke means, perhaps the clue is in the name, but to me this shade was a lot more mint green than the colour shown beside it. I put it on a chair, so it's not a disaster that it's not exactly the shade I thought it would be. I like it, I just think it's not true to the colour shown. 15 February 2015
Beautiful, rich colour I chose this colour for a small, north-facing bedroom with one small window. I was nervous about going with a dark colour but I wanted to experiment. It took one coat of primer and two coats of paint to cover the previous colour (Ringwold Ground) as the walls are textured. It is absolutely stunning, whether in low light at night or during the day. I used white trim and ceiling (Pointing) and I love it. My husband also loves it. I highly recommend this for a small dark space but make sure to use a primer, unless the walls are already medium green. I've used a lot of F&B paint and I love the colours but it is expensive so it isn't the best choice for everyone. 24 January 2015
Great colour Looks great against white and natural wood tones. Coverage is ok. I'm painting on top of wall paper and underestimated the amount I needed. Works really well in my earthy colour scheme. 16 September 2014
Great colour and beautiful finish We used Calke green in our dining room, having previously tried a much lighter olive colour which we felt was not bold enough (this was not a Farrow and Ball colour). We are very pleased with the results. The Farrow and Ball paint was clearly a better quality than the other paint we tried, the colour and the finish are of an excellent quality. The service from Farrow and Ball was also excellent. We would definitely recommend Farrow and Ball, as well as this colour in particular. 26 April 2014
An excellent colour for an exterior door. We chose Calke Green for the door to blend in with the greenery of the garden. The idea worked well and it blended the exterior colours of the garden with the house. We gilded the door furniture with gold and verdigris leaf and this complemented the Calke Green perfectly picking up the green tints of the leaf. Paint was easy to use, lovely thick texture, no runs or drips and it dried to a lovely eggshell finish. Thanks Farrow & Ball, we love your paint and colour selection. 03 September 2013
Exterior does not last long We prepared our shed extremely well and undercoated properly, then applied several coats in good weather, and yet this colour has faded rather a lot and is now a wishy-washy green. It's difficult to apply, but once it is on the colour is lovely (for as long as it lasts). 13 July 2013
Calke Green Gloss is nothing like the colour of Calke GreenExterior Eggshell 15 years ago had our Award Winning New build house painted inside and out with Exterior Eggshell, we became known as the Green house ! The South exposed aspect needed painting every 2 years elsewhere Finding that Calke green was now in gloss ,we had our decorator paint the South aspect ,it was awful ,not a subtle colour as previously , a Lime Green nothing like the original Exterior Eggshell . The decorator didn't like the finish ,the colour or way it went on , having previously done the whole house in Exterior Eggshell was very disappointed and so are we 06 July 2013
