Borrowed Light

No. 235

* Samples available in Estate Emulsion only. Colours on screen may vary from actual paint.

Borrowed Light is named after the much desired extra illumination that often comes from a fanlight and really does evoke summer skies. It works as well in a room deprived of light as it does in an airy sunroom. It is perfect for use in little boy’s bedrooms, especially when contrasted with Stiffkey Blue on furniture or woodwork. White & Light Tones Undercoat.

This color is very unique. We used Borrowed Light in a bedroom that does not receive any direct sunlight. When the curtains are drawn it does have a slightly green tone as the chip shows. When the curtains are open it is a magnificent pale blue! It's an amazing color and exactly what we were looking for to compliment our Eileen Fisher natural linen bedding. 20 April 2015

Good quality product I have not used Farrow and Ball paint before, mainly due to the price. I am very impressed with the quality and ease of use of this paint, the finished look is beautiful. The colour was also exactly as per the paint chart. 20 January 2015

lovely colour Paint order always arrives promptly and beautifully packaged. Lovely paint, great colour, easy to use - and a fabulous tin that makes a great planter afterwards! What isn't there to like about Farrow and Ball? 25 September 2014
Beautiful light blue Beautiful and restful colour which changes subtly as the light changes. However the final result is paler and less blue than I had hoped for based on a tester pot. Still we've had lots of compliments for our smart new front door. 08 September 2014
A feeling of sky and distance ( part 2 ) Here are two more pictures, but taken on a grey day . For comparison see those taken on a sunny day ( my review of 25 June 2014) . 07 July 2014
A Lovely Neutral I plan to use this for bedroom and bathroom, and think I will use Farrow and Ball's 'Borrowed Light ' rather than Benjamin Moore's 'Breath of Fresh Air', which seems to be their closest correlate. Having just painted my living room with F & B, I am completely in love with their paints. I can see the beauty in the depth of color and can tell the paints are of high quality because I can barely wash the pigment and resin off my hands after I work with them. 04 July 2014
