Ciara’s Bedroom

Choosing a paper for a seventeen-year old girl’s bedroom is always a challenge, but interior decorators report that teenagers are much more likely to be consulted and to make their own choices these days. Ciara, whose pastimes include ‘music, art and of course, shopping’, felt that Farrow & Ball Uppark was just the right thing for her room in her family’s West Country home: "I wanted to choose something for myself and to move on from the purple and white the room was painted when I was eleven".

Ciara continues: "Lots of people my age have bedrooms which are quite neutral in their decoration, but I decided I wanted something a bit more bold and memorable that would work with the crisp, white woodwork from the previous scheme. I think the lighter, brighter colour and pattern is more exciting and reflects the light well, much better than the hideous purple I had before".
