Joa at Lords

Dedicated Farrow & Ball colour consultant, Joa Studholme, says of her use of Farrow & Ball paints at the famous Long Room at Lords Cricket ground: "The redecoration was quite a challenge here because I was not working for one client, but had to please 19,000 MCC members and do justice to the architecture and the way light enters the room (this is always the key). This is the Mecca of English cricket and the colours had to be subtle in tone, not detracting from the green outside which is what the place is all about.

The subtlety of the palette of the Farrow & Ball paint colour range means that this is quite easy really and we chose ‘Card Room Green’, ‘Off-White’ and ‘Old White’. Much of my work as a consultant is helping people see how Farrow & Ball paints work and how they change in different lights. I work with these paints every day, on residential and commercial projects. Working with Farrow & Ball is simple as most clients already love the colour range before we even begin".
